Problems with MC 3.0 connecting to DV Deck

    Hi Everyone,

I am having problems connecting a JVC BR-DV3000 deck to Media Composer. I get a "No Deck" message every time I open the capture window. The Auto-configure and "Check Deck" options are not working. When ever I use Auto-configure I keep getting the "the port "OHCI" is busy and cannot be used for deck control" message. Changing the deck preferences didn't help, and restarting the computer didn't work either.

The Deck is connect directly to the Imac using the 4-pin to 6-pin 1394EE (Firewire 400) cable. Can anyone help me solve this problem? Thank you.

Re: Problems with MC 3.0 connecting to DV Deck

Welcome to the forum! You may have multiple deck configurations, delete them all and reconfigure adding a new channel and autodetecting, if that doesn't work manually add Your deck or the closest model or generic deck. If You search the forum for the error message You'll find many threads with many tips. hth
