To render (green dots) or not to render??? That's the question.

Can someone help me out with this (simple) question?

I'm working on an Avid Media Composer v2.8.0.

We export our edits to Quicktime Movie for FTP to the studio.

We always use a light color correction (Image / Color Effect) with contrast and saturation ajustments.

The effetcs show up as a green dot in the timeline.

Do we really have to render the timeline before we export it to QT Movie?

Because it will render all the effects when I press Render In/Out.

Or will it render the effects realtime or during export anyway?

    Thanx for helping!

    Dennis.

No need to render before export.

It's actually one of the tricks if you need to render multiple sequences.
Just highlight them in the bin and export Quicktime reference movies.
