    MCA 2.2.10 and ProRes

Running MCA 2.2.10 Windows with QuickTime 7.1. Getting a lot more out of house .mov files using the new ProRes codec.  What do I risk downloading and using Quicktime 7.5.5 in order to utilize the new ProRes QuickTime decoder 1.0 for Windows even though MCA isn't rated for it?

I know the preferred alternative is to have them output something that meets the target spec of their intended client (i.e. using an Avid codec like Meridian), but I'm guessing this isn't going to happen.

With a PC...a Lot. QT compatibility is pretty important, especially in the version of Avid software you have. If you go up to QT 7.5.5, expect a lot of issues.
