Re: 1080P Movie Export for DVD Studio Pro

All: I just finished a 15-minute short that was shot on HDCAM and finished on a Symphony Nitris. We have an HDCAM and a D5 Master (and the project and 10-bit 1:1 Media are still on the Avid and accessible), but we also need to make SD DVDs. I am looking for advice on what the highest quality export technique is for creating files that can then be used by DVD Studio Pro to create SD DVDs. We have both a 5.1 mix and a Stereo Comp Mix as well. Any ideas?

I actually prefer the quality of Sorenson Squeeze to Compressor for DVDs. So export a QT ref from the Symphony to Sorenson, squeeze away, then take the MPEG 2 files to DVD Studio Pro.
