Avid 3D in Media Composer 3.0?

Hi, I would like to upgrade my Avid Xpress Pro HD and Studio Toolkit to Media Composer but I noticed that Avid 3D is not on the list of bundled software. So is Avid ditching Avid 3D?

If Avid 3D doesn't come with Media Composer then will my current version of Avid 3D still work inside Media Composer (or even as a stand-alone application) once I upgrade?

I am currently running version 5.1.3 of Avid Xpress Pro HD and Studio Toolkit.

My understanding is that Avid 3D is EOL (End of Life), will not work from "within" MC, but will probably work as a stand-alone app.

The is no planned upgrade for Studio or Studio Toolkit.

All the components work within Media Composer 3.0 -- except, apparently, for Avid 3d. There is a Studio link in the menu -- File>Send to>Avid Studio -- but it is a dead link, i.e. nothing happens when you click on it. You can, as mentioned, run Avid 3d separately.

There are links to Pro Tools (export) and Sorenson -- and Avid FX is accessed through the "effect mode" so all of the other components continue to work with Media Composer 3.0.

I wonder what the plans are for future competition against FCP Studio but I don't have any information regarding that.
