    No [N] Consolidating problems

I work on a project where the offline editing is done on a Avid XPress 4.6. I do the online on Avid Media Composer Adrenaline 2.7.7. While it is an extremely large project, consolidating is needed. For consolidation, the offline-harddisks are connected to my PC using USB 2.0.

I found several unacceptable bugs in the software:

    - When titles are already rendered (on an available or a non-available drive), consolidating results in an access_violation error that shuts down the system.

    - When crossfades are already rendered on a non-available drive, idem dito.

    - When the option 'skip clips already on the drive' is checked, severe errors appear.

    - Problems appear when audio with different bitrates than the project bitrate is consolidated.

Could these unacceptale problems be solved in a next version?

    Thanx,

    Allard Bon, editor

    The Netherlands.
