Is this an error message you are getting? How about a little info?

I am getting same error "omfHPdomain_init_failed" and if I press more I get "BAD_MAGIC"

The first error is "Exception: omfHPDomain_INIT_FAILED. file:msmMMOB.mdb"

When I press on the more button i get

    "Exception: omfHPDomain_INIT_FAILED. file:msmMMOB.mdb"

    "Ezxception: omfHPDomain_BAD_MAGIC"

    Have Avid closed

Then on your media hard drive open your OMFI MediaFiles folder.  In there you need to find these 2 files

    msmFMID.pmr
    msmMMOB.mdb     and delete them.

Avid will rebuild them when you open it next time and your error should have gone away.

Thx. Any reason this is happening once a week about. Anything I can do to prevent it from happening again

How many files are in the OMFI MediaFiles folder?

    Rene Carre:

With OMF projects I always quit from a Project "politely" as was suggested with my original Avid

Click on the Project Window to make it the active Window.
From the File drop down Menu choose Save all
From the File Drop down Menu choose Close Project
From the pop up box choose Quit

Does it help these days? I do not know!!

However in the last 2 decades I have not experienced your error message or had to rebuild Avid databases to allow me to open Avid .... so I THINK it does and will continue to take the extra 5 seconds to close Avid this way.
