    Import Problem

I am a new user of Avid Free DV.  I have a series of video clips shot on a Casio Exlim Z750.  They are AVI files.

Like others who have posted, I get audio but no video when I import the files to Avid Free DV.

I understand that this may well be a CODEC problem, and I'm more than willing to experiment with converting the AVI files to MOV or another format that will be more Avid-friendly.

The question is, which utility or utilities are best for converting on a PC running XP?  I haven't seen a reference to that anywhere in the posts or the FAQs.

It's the conversion to .MOV that's presenting the problem.  Does anyone have any experience with Casio's Exlim series, specifically the Z750, and know what software will convert from its native .AVI format to .MOV.  It's not QuickTime Pro!  Tried that already.

Some of the big-time converters are Sorensen Squeeze, Procoder and Cleaner XL.  Check them all out and see which one fits your needs.
