    Editing from 35mm Adapters

I'm wondering what you method you guys use to deal with the "reversed" or Flip Flopped footage that comes from some of these 35mm adapters like the redrock micro M2.

Since flip flop is an effect I have to wait until I cut the footage into a sequence before I can reverse the image.

Is there another method you guys use or can think of where I could reverse the image PRIOR to cutting it into a sequence?

you can just apply an image resize effect to a layer above your sequence. on the MCA, it will do it in real time.

but i know of no way to effect video on it's way into the avid.

    that's what dve's are for!

if you have an assistant, you can create sub-clip-sequences of all the footage with an effect on them.
