Good monitor for editing on a Dell laptop

    Hello,

Not sure if this is where I should post this but I'm looking for a good monitor to edit with my Dell laptop.  It is a Precsion and I am looking to get a 27".  Looking for something between $150-$200.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Thansk,

    John

You can certainly find a 27" monitor in this price range, but bear in mind these are really business class monitors. Expect 60 - 75Mhz refresh rates, 200 - 300 candela per square meter, and a contrast range about about 1000:1. Also you probably won't find one with an expanded color range (e.g. HDR). Sometimes you can find a better class monitor on sale at the upper end of your price range.

In this class, Dell, LG, Samsung, HP, Acer, etc. are all pretty similar. Look at the customer reviews before you purchase one.
