Best Replacement for Matrox MX02 Mini

I'm basically looking for a device that works exactly like my Matrox Mx02 with the same features, but doesn't constantly break. Based on some reading here, it seems that the best replacement for the Mx02 is the Blackmagic intensity pro 4k.  Is the Intensity Pro what I should get?  Or is there something better at a somewhat similar price?

Also, I'm not sure how long the Intensity Pro has been out, but ideally I'd like a box that's not near end-of-life.

Media Composer version: usually newest release, or 1 behind. Nvidia GTX 1070Ti Windows 10, Core i7 8700K processor, ASRock GA 1151 Z370 Motherboard... [view my complete system specs]

Re: Best Replacement for Matrox MX02 Mini

I had been using the BM intensity Pro 4K for a year with out any problems -  if you plan on using resolve and need cleint monitor than I think you might need to stay in BM family.   However AJA has some nice aternativie and some people prefer AJA - Recently  I had to replace the BM Intensity Pro 4k with - the SDI Mini Monitor.  Reason the being the BM had only HDMI - my flanders for whatever reason did not like the HDMI connection -so I replace the card for SDI output and now the flanders has not had any issues. It is long story it was really was not the BM card - just for certain features on the flanders they prefer SDI -  Anyway if you plan on going SDI you might want to look at other options then intensity.  I will say this for the money the intensity  gives you plenty of in and out options - but not SDI

I never use SDI right now, so I don't think that's an issue for me.  Thank you very much for the information!

The BM Intensity 4K works very well for me and very reasonably prices in IMHO. If you don't need SDII'd say it's a no-brainer.

Sounds good. Seems like that's what I need. Ordering today.  I appreciate the input.

EDIT: Installed the Intensity Pro, and it worked right out of the box. Compared to the Matrox Mini, this is so much better.  I can actually imagine a future where I no longer have to fight constantly with my I/O box!!
