    Panning audio effect

I was wondering if there is a way to create a panning audio effect? For example, making a car sound like it's starting from the left speaker, then finishing its drive-by from the right speaker?

    Thanks!!!

    Re: Panning audio effect

A simple way to do it is to split the clip (Add Edit), pan the segments individually and then use a fade to make the transition.

    Re: Panning audio effect

To achieve this follow these steps:

    1. Make shure Audio Keyframes are displayed ( is active) and set to display pan information on the track you want to work on

    2. In the Audio Mixer switch to Automation Mode

    3. Then either insert a keyframes at the beginning of the audio clip and set the Pan knob to the left, after that insert a keyframe at the end of the clip and set the Pan knob to the right. You'll see a line going down from the 1st keyframe to the last keyframe representing the panning change

    4. Or alternatively (in fact faster): position the play head at the start of the clip and change the panning with the knob to left, then place the cursor at the end and change the knob to the right, the keyframes will be inserted automatically

More information can be found in the manual (search for pan keyframe)
