How do I move the Avid Media Files / MXF file from drive C to drive D?

    Hi!

How do I move the Avid Media Files / MXF file from drive C to drive D? And after that I always want to work on the D drive.

    Regards

    Mert

    Exit Avid.

Cut and Paste the entire Avid MediaFiles Folder on C: to D:

    Done.

Avid will rebuild the databases, find the media and relink on its own.

(Out of an abundance of caution, you can Copy and Paste, in which case rename the MXF foler on the C: drive to something like xMXF so Avid can't see it -- and then delete after you've confirmed your files have all moved over successfully.)

You can assign the D: drive for new media undder the Media Creation Settings.

after that you can place an empty .txt file on your c drive.

name it Avid MediaFiles, remove .txt extension.

now avid can't create an Avid MediaFiles Folder on c.
