Import AAF with multiple resolutions on Windows

    Hello!

I exported several sequences as AAF in AMC for Mac 8.8.5 to send them to a coleague to make some modifications. He works on an AMC for Windows 2018.12. When he tried to import those AAF files, AMC just crashed.  I made a test with another Windows workstation running AMC 2018.12 and it also crashed on import. I imported the AAF files in the Mac without any problem.

The sequences have media with several resolutions: DNxHD 36, DNxHD 120 and J2K 1080p 25. I decided to recode the media to DNxHD 120 to unform reolution. I exported a new AAF and sent it to my coleague. This time, he opened the AAF file with no problem.

Does anyone have any ideia why this happens and what the solution might be?

    Thank you in adavnce.

Why not just copy or consolidate media and send across bins? AAF seems a more cumbersome workaround.

Re: Import AAF with multiple resolutions on Windows

We use AAF for two reasons: first, we don't have a real time shared storage like Nexis; second, we archive projects in AAF format for later reuse and modification, and store those files in a archive storage. This project is several years old. My coleague retrieved the AAF file from the archive, but was unable to import it.
