    Combining projects

I have several projects that use mostly the same media. Most are completed and I would like to delete them but I would also like to move some of the bins to the current (last) project. Can I just drag the bins from the old projects to the new one, or should I copy and paste them in? I'm trying to cut down on search time and get better organized. I ended up shooting a lot more footage than I thought and I am starting to drown in it; that's why I want to eliminate old completed projects and focus on this last, much longer version.

I also need a few pointers in removing the media that I am no longer using, because I am nervous that I will delete something that is still in use.

And if anyone knows of a tutorial on how to set up and manage a documentary project, I would really appreciate that information. I think I've done an okay job but could be better organized. There are many ways to organize a project, I'm just looking for a better way if there is one.

Thanks to all and Merry Christmas!

    Re: Combining projects

Take real care in deleting. Every project you ingest or create media in is labelled internally by theat projects name. So moving a bin into another named project still shows that media as named as the original project.
