is it approved to connect 2 Nexis to 1 switch?

Hi, have an Nexis E4 connected to a Dell N3048 today. Is it approved to also connect a Nexis PRO to the same switch?

From the readMe.....   Avid NEXIS | PRO cannot be combined with Avid NEXIS E-series (Enterprise class) Engines or the System Director Appliance.

But I will check to make sure

Marianna is correct, a PRO can't be combined with an Enterprise Engine in the same storage group. But you can add a PRO to the same switch in a sperate management domain running the embedded system director.

Ensure that the Storage System Name is different from the E4. This is fully support.

    Thank you!

Yes, my plan is to have them as separate systems anyway!

Being able to have any number of NEXIS System directors on a single subnet is part of the original design of NEXIS. This is a change from ISIS. So with NEXIS you can have 1 ISIS and any number of NEXIS systems. This is accomplished with the addition of the Storage System Name field in NEXIS; it will filter out all media packs that don't have a matching name.
