Same As Source from 24bit audio creates 16bit audio

yesterday we exportet a Same As Source from a ProRes Clip with 24bit audio. The export though was 16bit.

The problem was, that the projects audio setting was set to 16bit.

I find this a bit unlogical. If I want a Same As Source-export from a clip or timeline, I want it to be the same format as the clips and not the format from somewhere in the settings.

    Bug or feature?

That's pretty consistent within all aspects of the app. For example, even if you have a 4k file you're linking to in an 1080p project, you can't export that file larger than 1080p.

True resolution independence would take care of this, but I don't think we're quite there yet.

I would write this up as a Feature Request.
