    Upgrade issues to 2018.9 PC Win10pro

    Went to update my Win10 PC to the new v2018.9 from 2018.5. I saw it also needed a App Manager Update. So I did that. Also restarted. I see that now MC is under Plug-In's moved from Apps but now it says that no MC update available. Any thoughts?

     

    I'm going to download MC and do it that way but thought I would post this.

    Hi EvanAA,

      You can try to do a sync first, then followed by clear cache in the preferences tab. You can manually get MC update via your AVid master account.

    Yep already did that. And I downloaded 2018.9 Win and it won't upgrade. It goes through the start of it. installing the App manager but then it finishes that and then just nothing. No error 

    Update: Tried re-boot and again running at Admin it instals "Cloud Servises" and App Manager. Again no errors. but then nothing happens after that.

    Did you extract the zip files first before installing? Complete your profile include machine specs.

    Yes I did.

    THis system has used Avid since I got it 2.5 years ago

    Thanks for the update. Let's try a different approach run the setup.exe normally located in the Download folder.

    Downloads\Media_Composer_2018.9_Win\MediaComposer\Installers\MediaComposer.

    Bingo Ralph. That worked! Tried the upgrade first and no go. But then tried the uninstall and the re-install and that worked!
