    MC First Exception Error

I am attempting to launch MC First on Windows 10, and I keep getting an exception error immediately at launch:
"Can't create a directory, as one of the folders in the path below has insufficient permissions., path:E:\Projects\Avid\myusername

The Avid Projects folder is on an external F drive (F:\Projects\Avid\myusername), but it won't give me an option to
change the path. I have to force close the program through Task Manager.

How do I change the drive? The program launches, but it will not go past this point.
I can send a screenshot if necessary.

    Dr Bane....

The MC First installer should have installed the app on the internal drive in programs.  one thign you need to be aware of is, do not bury the app too far down in the drive hierarchy as that will cause an error.

I would unistal the application unsing the uninstaller and then install again onto your C; drive ( internal ) and at the top level.

    Re: MC First Exception Error

The program is installed on the internal C: drive. I went ahead and uninstalled it and re-installed it just to be sure. I still get the same error. When I install, I'm not given an option of where to put the program, the installer does it automatically. I will try again, but the program is on the internal drive.

    Hi CB,

Move these files Site_Attributes and MCState to a new folder, the file path is C:\Users\Public\Documents\Avid Media Composer\Settings report back.

    Thanks,

    RalphC

    Hi RalphC,

Both of those files are located in that folder. Same exception error.
