Media Composer 8.4.2 and Intensity Pro 4K

Hello everyone, i hope all is going well with your lives and projects!

I recently got my hands on a Black Magic Intensity Pro 4K which i installed on my Win 10 PC.
Sadly my Media Composer 8.4.2 seems to be having troubles with it.
It seems to not be able to play without acting as if it has the hickups and sound doesn't go through.

Does any one of you happen to know a version of the Intensity Pro 4K drivers that works well with Avid 8.4.2 ?

Thank you in advance for your time and all the best to all of you!

    Hi Ketz

My guess is you need a older driver from BM that works with MC 8.4.2....  you could consider updating the MC to 2018.7.x which works with the intensity 4k and driver 10.11.

You kind of have a mismatch.

That's what i was hoping, that someone here might know, which driver from BM could work for MC 8.4.2.
I kinda feel "meh" about having to change my version of Avid for Intensity to work properly.

I ve had a simillar issue before, just need to find that version that does the trick. Problem is that there are too many :(
I am on Win 10 by the way.

Whilst not relevant to your issue, I have just replaced my broken Nitris with an intensity pro 4K and it works perfectly with 2018.7, windows 10 and latest drivers.  It's quieter, scrubs faster and boots quicker.

I have no need for SDI outputs anymore as everything is deliverd by files so this card is just for monitoring.

Re: Media Composer 8.4.2 and Intensity Pro 4K

    I found a solution afterall.

i switched to Avid MC 8.4.4 which works great with Blackmagic Desktop Video Windows 10.9.10

    Hope this helps someone else.
