cannot link: "Wrong Format" - 1080i50 100Mbit Files from Panasonic EVA-1

Hi there, i filmed with a Panasonic EVA1 with 1080 50i(interlaced) with the 100Mbit All-I Codec. When linking the Quicktime-files in Media Composer 2018.5), the preview windows show "wrong format". The audio is playing...

ALL the other files from the EVA1 with all different codecs can be linked in media composer seamlessly

For the 50i files with the 100Mbit codec, the source browser shows "QTFF" as videocodec When switching to Quicktime in the source browser the preview monitor turns green.

What am I missing? Is this an Avid bug? Why is the 108050i 100Mbit codec not working in Media Composer?

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Here's a link to Avid's list of supported codecs...

    http://resources.avid.com/SupportFiles/attach/Avid_Supported_Video_File_Formats.pdf

If yours isn't on the list then that would explain the reason.

You could always see if Davinci Resolve will play these files, then export the clips to something more Avid friendly.
