    Scriptsync stuck on "indexing"

    Hello,

I've been using Scriptsync for a while now, and I love it. This week, I have been trying to deal with an issue that came up. Whenever I try to ScriptSync with a specific Multigroup, it freezes Avid while Scriptsync says "indexing." Avid stops responding and I have to close it and try again, but it always does that with that one Multigroup, so I haven't been able to go past that script. I use Multigroups of interviews to sync to the scripts, and this has happened only once before, but I was able to fix it by regrouping the clips. It is not working this time, though. I need to sync the footage to the script, but I have no idea how to fix this. I was hoping someone here would know what I am doing wrong.

    Thanks!

    Juan

I am thinking that the Avid Bin Indexer which had indexed all of the information in your bins might be an issue or the Avid Phonetic Indexer which had indexed all of the phonetic information in your audio files.

Might be worthwhile to go to your Project folder, where you will see a folder called SearchData which contains a file called _SearchDB_.   Trash it.

This file is the database of the indexed bins within your project.

If you have ScriptSync activated, you will also see a folder called PhoneticData which contains a number of files with a .pat extension; these files contain the phonetic information for each of the audio clips within your project. One .pat file will be created per clip.   Trash them.

    Then reindex
