    Feature Request: remote log off

Because of my work I have Avid and Premiere LIC. And at times for both need to use more then one system. It would be great if Avid would let you do when Adobe does. The ability to log into another system even if your account is already loged on and then you get a message asking if you would like to log off that other system. With Avid you need to deactivate the one system first.

It gets much worse if you are using 3rd party products like BCC, Sapphire and Waves audio plugins because they each require deactivation on one system before transferring the license to another. Sapphire is particularly bad because you actually have to uninstall the product to deactivate it.

I get that. But I have a main system(desktop) and a portable system. Both have my BCC Lic on them. So it would be great if I could log Avid into both or remote deactivate the other.

Are you running BCC 11? I ask because prior to BCC 11 I was able to activate my license on two machines and then move my dongle for MC back and forth. Now with BCC 11 it seems that I can only activate on a single machine at a time.

I'm asking you because I'm wondering if I lost an activation somewhere along the way or perhaps Boris changed its policy for BCC 11.

Sapphire is a whole other story and quite a pain in the neck (and yet, prohibitly expensive to just purchase a second license for convenience).

    Cheers

Let's be fair and reasonable, the AppMan could, and indeed should, take care of MC and optional features by Avid, but managing third party plugins is up to the respective vendors.

Luca - my point is that solving this issue for MC doesn't really solve the overall problem unless you don't use the 3rd party plugins I referenced.

Re: Feature Request: remote log off

Yes Steve, but it is my understanding that not even the Adobe licensing app takes care of third party plugins. I'm not that familiar with the Adobe stuff, but I seem to understand that two installs of the suite are allowed to run at the same time on different workstations, that's a major plus I'd like to ask for to Avid!

On a side note I think this thread should be moved to the features resquest forum.
