    Encryption on a Nexis workspace?

    Hello all-

Are there any solutions for encrypting working data on a Nexis workspace?

I'm guessing that encrypted disk images stored on the workspace and mounted on the client machine won't work, since it's effectively adding another file system on top of Avid's own Nexis file system.

    Thanks in advance.

Any half decent encryption would also provide a massive throughput overhead.

And at the end of the day you need all that work done at the workstation not at the nexis. Otherwise its vunerable in transit.

We have worked with Fortium and their MediaSeal product to provide full disk encryption of a workspace.
