8.4 to 8.9.4/8.10 Project Upgrade Issue - Thin Raster Material Squeezed

    Hi,

We have a pre-edit that was started in v8.4. We are hoping to upgrade to v8.9 or v8.10 for the main edit.

All of our edit proxies are XDCAM 17.5 MXF, which is a thin-raster codec (1440x1080). When I open the project in v8.9 or v8.10, all of the sequences look fine and everything is formatted correctly.

As soon as I match frame (or refresh sequence), the source material is 'squeezed' towards the left hand of frame, leaving a large black bar at the right hand of frame.

I have checked in the frame flex window (via source settings) and this material is being interpreted by the Avid as 1920x1080 16:9. However, the material is the wrong shape in both of the frame flex viewers - I can supply a screen-grab if required.

Is this a known bug and if so, is there a workaround?

    Thanks in advance!

    Dear Marianna,

I have exactly the same problem.

Although I haven't updated Avid, but macOS.

Were you able to resolve the squeeze issue?

    thanks in advance,

    Patrick
