starter question about audio edits and publishing

    greetings,

got the avid media composer first programm and watched a few videos for first editing steps. for a short 20s movie I wanted to add a audio fadeout. when I play it inside the programm it will fade as intended but when I publish it inoto a QTmov and rewatch it, the fade is gone. ill add two pictures of the audio lines and my publish settings. the fade is in "volume".

    any advices?

    thank you!

That should work, but sometimes the full version of Media Composer has trouble carrying keyframe changes through to Quicktime exports, so I assume MC First does, too.

Instead of keyframes, what happens to the export if you add an audio dissolve ending at the cut to that last edit and fade out that way?

hey. thank you for the quick answer!

while figuring out how to edit audios I stumbled a lot across the term "audio dissolve endings" but couldn't figure out how to initiate it. is there a simple tutorial for that?

aswell: so keyframe changes won't work for future projects, too?

E1: except the keyframe question I figured it out. can be closed. thank you!
