    TitlerPro install question

Hey, just did my upgrage and was wondering if I needed to uninstall TPro 2 before installing the new version that is available for the Perpetual Media Composer license? Thats pretty much it. Don't want any glitches as I have a project using TPro 2

That's a good question. I would expect to uninstall TP2 before installing TP5 - however, I should warn you that titles created in earlier versions of TP may not look the same in TP5. This is probably my primary beef with NewBlueFX's titling solution. I think they are getting better (for example, titles created in TP5 translate to the latest TP6 from my experience).

If you are OK with having to potentially do some minor tweaking of your titles then you could upgrade. Otherwise it might be best to finish your project first.

    Re: TitlerPro install question

I would urge Avid to extract New Blue Titler from the root of the program.

Even if it's 5 it's not working right.

I mean it's working only as a filter.

If you click on the T icon above the timeline it doesn't work.

And everytime it asks to install Titler Pro even if it's installed.

DO NOT mess with New Blue Titler Pro if you got titles running.

Even for 4K I prefer to change formats and create the titles at HD and then back at 4K working the title with an adapter.
