    Upstream pipe stall on Transcode

I'm transcoding linked footage from 1DX MKii (big files, like between 2gig and 120gig each)... From 2min to 30min. I get inconsistent "UpStream PipeStall" on some clips... Sometimes I retry and it works, sometime not. I've tried of different drive (RAID 0, RAID1, and USB3 regular BU drive) but I can't really see any difference.

    Any idea what cause this?

Check your internal media drive and see what MB/s read speed you are getting off of it.

Copying one file to your other media drive just to test, and if it works then it might be your internal drive where the app resides.

Sorry edited as I copied the wrong file.

Are you able to turn the processor priority to low for MC and set the core affinity onto only one core instead of the multiples you may have.  For many this resolved the issue.....

also are you using USB 3?

Re: Upstream pipe stall on Transcode

Hello Marianna. Sorry, I've never seen your reply.

A few months later and I'm still having the same issues. Both of my drives are Thunderbold 2- Raid 0.

Could you share with me a link that explain how to  turn the processor priority to low for MC and set the core affinity onto only one core.

    Thanks.
