Static on black and green on graphics

Hello, I am getting static on my monitors and quicktimes on areas where there is black (no video). If I place filler in the timeline the issue goes away. I'm also getting green backgrounds on random graphic cards. Any ideas? It doesn't happen every time I playback, but most times.

The project is 720p/23.976 and the issue is not in other rooms that are connecting to the same server/project.

Might be a hardware problem because it doesn't happen on other machines. Green in the digital world is the equivalent of 000000000. Something that's not doing its job properly might be spitting out nothing (00000000) when it should be putting out something (001000100). Swap graphics card, IO device or CPU (whichever is most practical) to confirm.

Must think of something clever to go here...

    Hey hbrock,

We just noticed that it's only happening on 2-3 cuts, but not older verions of it or other cuts/sequences. Could that still be the case if it's just isolated to specific cuts?

Where did the cuts come from that are showing this?

Re: Static on black and green on graphics

Typically we duplicate cuts from the "TV Cuts" bin in the project, and work off those to create the next version. There are a handful of spots that I duplicated and worked off of last week that were showing the issue listed above. (They are still doing that.) But for the past few days I have been working on different tv spots and have not replicated the issue with these. (Knock on wood.)
