    MXF file play error

    Hi to all

starting from Media Composer 8.6.0 some mxf files that was correctly played on older versions, didn't play.

After some seconds a dialog box appears with this error:

    * Exception: AMAMapperVideo::CalcTemporalOffset: Did not find first temporal sample.

The error is always at the same point.  Older version of Media Composer (before 8.6.0)  play the mxf  file correctly.

System is Windows 10 64 bit,  dual xeon processor and 16G of ram.

Any idea ? Anyone experienced the same ?

    Regards

    Re: MXF file play error

Is this file by any chance an MXF with sony XDcam codec linked? If yes then i believe that this is a bug. The work around is to Consolidate the clip.

    Re: MXF file play error

    HI

I confirm that  the file is an mxf Sony XDCAM one.  I analyzed it with some tools (mxfAnalyzer, MXF Inspect ) and

no errors was reported.  The strange thing is that the same file plays correctly on Media Composer 8.5.3

and previous versions.  The error is at about half time of the clip.  I can't figure out the cause. It's a compression

issue or an mxf description issue ?  If the cause was the last, mxf tester should report the error while the reports

are of a clip correctly generated.
