    Arri WorkFlow

    Hi All,

I am working post on a webseries and they are asking to transcode to DNxHD36 from 2k. However, some shots are shot 2048X858 and others at 2048X1152. Do I have center crop one of the two to have the same. if not one of them looks stretched.

I have the project format set at 1080p because that's the only way it will let me transcode to DNxHD36. If I have the project format at 2k it will not let me transcode.

Just want to know what the best workflow will be.

    Thanks

    Romina

DNxHD requires the footage to be HD (1080p max). If you try and keep the file sizes intact, you would have to use the DNxHR codec instead.

But you could leave it intact (using DNxHR LB, for example), use FrameFlex to correctly format the footage, then mixdown your sequence to DNxHD 36 for final output.

    Re: Arri WorkFlow

    Thank you Kevin.

I just wanted to know if I could transcode the footage to DNxHD 36 for offline purposes to edit first and just adjust using FrameFlex. The editor wants the files transcoded to 36 for editing.
