Connect new Z440 and Sony HVR-M25AU?

Looking for the best way to connect a Sony HVR-M25AU deck with a HP Z440 and Composer 8.  The deck is only Firewire control.  Do I need to purchase a Firewire card fo the Z440?  If so, what cards are qualified?

    yo,

i'd just get any pcie firewire card. texas instruments chip if possible.

those things are thin on the ground, chances for qualified version are slim. dunno.

    firewire 800 won't work afaik.

it will probably be necessary to load the legacy firewire driver in device manager.
