    Crop Timecode Burn-In

Is there a way to crop the Timecode Burn-In effect so that it just displays HH:MM:SS and not FF?

It appears as though you can drop a 3D Warp effect on top of the Timecode Burn In effect and crop it.

Not sure if that negatively affects the ability to play back or slows down export, but it appears to be possible.

Nice try but autonesting or nesting crops the BG video too (that old Avid Bug(bear)). When I did this, I think I layered the BG video back over V1 and applied a horizontal wipe to hide the part of the BITC that I did not wish to see.

Just did this in 8.3.1.  V1 bars; V2 timecode generator nested in 3D Warp with crop.

Ah - you approached a different way and that does work. I dropped the TC burn in directly onto the clip and that did not work. Thanks!

The position of the timecode needed to be top center in order to simulate the iPhone video recording screen.
