MC 8.4 hangs during moving clips in segment mode

    Hi folk,

until MC 8.3 there was no problems. Now I upgrade to v8.4 and I have problems, when I use segment mode (red and yellow arrow). When I move clips my AVID hangs for seconds. The small Windows that shows usually last and next picture shows now only black or noises. To figure out this error, I took now a new harddisc with fresh windows 7 and reinstall only MC 8.3 (everything works) and update to 8.4. Same error again.

Are there other user with same problem?

What video card is in the system, and what drivers is it running?

    Hi Comascato,

We use Nvidia Quattro FX 3800, with v340.84 and Quicktime 7.7.6

Do you think it's video card problem?

Re: MC 8.4 hangs during moving clips in segment mode

After 8.4 upgrade I was having a display error on start-up with my 3800. The driver MC 8.4 requested to use wasn't compatible with the 3800. I upgraded to 4000 with recommended drivers and I have no display errors. I was able to edit with the 3800 but the error message said certain effects couldn't work (something similar). I would be madder, but I got an incredible deal on a used Quattro 4000- sorry
