    installing only mavericks 10.9.1 - not 10.9.2

    hello everybody,

    can anyone help me out?

i want o upgrade my mac to 10.9.1 mavericks as 10.9.1 seems to be supported for MC 7.0.3.

BUT tryning to download from the appstore it is only possible to get 10.9.2

Is there a way to install only 10.9.1?

    Thanky you,

    Ingo

thanks! but ist not that easy - as i am upgrading from 10.8.5 .... and ther seems to be no 10.9.0 installer.

all they offer at the appstore is the complete 10.9.2  ther is no way to get 10.9. and then later upgrade tp 10.9.1

    ...i guess

Unfortunately there is not an easy way - you'll have to get an installer somewhere else.

This gets said on here quite often, but never hurts to mention it again: when the new version of OS X comes out, even if you don't plan on upgrading for a year, downoad it immediately from the app store and copy the installer to another hard drive and/or onto an extrenal drive. If you are keeping the installer on your system, make sure to lock it in the Finder so that it can't be changed, because the App Store will update your installer if it sees it anywhere on you system.

This the easiest way to maintain a 10.X.0 version that you can use in the future. Thankfully Apple always keeps the point releases available to download, but I am paranoid so I like to grab those as well and store them away, just in case.

Got it. Didn't know you were coming from 10.8.5.

I looked and only found one source with a possible 10.9.1 installer. Looks a bit shady.

    Sorry.

I don't know how it works now that Mavericks isn't paid for anymore, by when I needed to get a base release of Lion to upgrade a Mac for CC Suite, I contacted Apple Sales by phone and was able to buy it that way - they processed it as a manual order, and a few days later I received an email with a redemption code to use in the app store. Like I said, I don't know if they would do that for a free upgrade version.
