Deko 1000 link lower third layer to the text layer

In deko 1000 is it possible to set up a lower third so that when the lettercount increases, so does the shape layer below the text?  I want it so that there is never too much space at the end of the text layer, ie so that it fits nicely into the box.  If so does this work better with a linked texture or with a coloured shape layer that I create myself in deko?

Yes, you can use a Frame as a detail (in the same area you would add a shadow or edge).  The frame size and offset can be manipulated to fit the text, and will "grow" as text is added.  The frame can be a color, a ramp of colors, or a texture.

Refer to the Users Guide section 3 "Designing and Applying Styles" for the basics on Details including Frames, and section 8 "Creating Useful Graphics" sub-section "Creating Styles with Fancy Frames" for more details.
