    Hi George,

yes these are the same files, I was working a lot with my avid and these files. Therefore I didn't have problems with this files, and one day the Avid not work anymore, with same Avid vesion. It's the problem, and more people have same problem. You can't import some short files, if the import console is working more than 2 minutes, avid will crashed.

    cheers

    David

    Re: MC 7 crashes on h264 import/export

We have the same problem with import and export of h264 materials.

    MC 7.0.3 on W7 x64. QT 7.5.3 of 7.5.4 both same issues.

    Any thoughts?

Importing h264 and prores fails and crashes. (this is the most irritating bit, dnxhd and animation codec works)

Direct h264 exports fail too (but dnxhd works)

AMA works most of the time. But for us that's not the way to go.

Importing H264 works fine on MC7.0.3 using OSX, so why not on W7?

Huh? But AMA and then transcode is faster than import and the end result is basically the same (although you can't batch import you can stilll reconstruct a project in the future) I don't import much any more except for shorter graphics clips and audio but have not had any issues.

Can we go back to the way audio nodes used to be selected? Please? ie if you have audio nodes at the same time on selected tracks; then selecting 1 audio node selects them all at that time. Having to shift select nodes or add an in and out is time consuming and counter productive. At least make it an option.
