    Snap to Locators/Markers

Does anyone know if there is a way to snap to markers/locators when editing within the sequence using the mouse. I know that you can park the blue indicator by turning on  "stop at markers" on the FF/RW tab of "composer settings". However I wish to snap to markers while dragging the mouse (in the same way you snap to the heads and tails of a clip).

This would be particularly helpful when using the mouse to trim cuts to exact markers.

    Thanks!

Yup - find these commands in the Command Palette, open up the Keyboard settings, and drag the locator-jump commands from the Command Palette to the Keyboard to map them to whatever keyboard commands you want.  I personally like them on Shift-F3 and Shift-F4, but it's Avid, use whatever you want!

EDIT: Sorry, early when I posted, didn't fully read.  I did think, however, that CMD-drag did this...might be wrong...

I appreciate the response! I have seen these assignable buttons but what I am looking for exactly is the mouse dragging snap-on, not an assignable key.

Does holding command cause the playhead to snap to locators? It does for mine.

I haven't been able to get mine to. I've tried all sorts of combinations including turning specific tracks on & off. I thought that it might have to be turned on/off in a setting somewhere.

COMMAND drag will snap on the locator if the track is enables. Then, once your playhead is at that locator, you can COMMAND drag a clip to that position.
