Audio in sync in Avid but not when exported

This is a very strange issue. My video and audio clips are synched in Avid but when exported as QT Reference or QT, the audio is one frame ahead. I can correct it by moving the audio file forward one frame but why does this happen. I have tried the .mov file on other computers and the problem is the same.

    Thanks

do you have blank video in your timeline? try to replace it with a "real" black clip. worked for me.

    Thanks for this.

There is definitely an extra video channel that is only partly used.

Are you saying blank as in a video channel with no clip in?

Any idea why it should cause the problem?

    Thank you
