    multiple ways.

    1. GigaBit Ethernet/Fibre Channel Transceiver

    2. Add a another switch into the equation, preferably one that can uplink to the iSIS switch at 10-Gbit. ( This will put the clients on the new switch in Zone3 )

The default switch that comes with the ISIS 5000 has 4 optical ethernet ports (last 4 ports). You just need to buy SFPs for the port and the Intel 1000 PF card (or Small Tree on Macs) for the clients. Standard 850nm multimode cable is used. (LC-LC).

If you need more than 4 clients, then you would need the optical version of the Force10 switch.

Remember though you are using fiber, the data transmitted still follows gigabit protocols, thus 1 Gb/s IP based.
