Welcome back to Avid’s AES countdown. Today we’re delivering all the booth information for this year’s event so you know all the who’s, what’s, where’s, and when’s for Avid’s participation at the show.

•         The 129th AES Show will be held Nov 4-7th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco and Avid will be on the main show floor in booth #1018.

•         We’ll be showing off our newest audio solutions at the booth in special pod stations focused on real-world workflows. Pro Tools HD Native will be on display in a demo pod focusing specifically on our newest, most advanced toolset running solely on the power of the host. Another station will feature complete digital mixing solutions, providing hand's on demonstrations of Avid’s S5 Console (formerly Euphonix), Pro Tools HD MADI and HEAT, and we'll have a separate pod designed to showcase our line of recording solutions for the personal studio, including Avid’s Artist Series controllers (formerly Euphonix) and the new Mbox family of portable audio interfaces.

•        On our main stage, we’ll host a rotating series of technology demonstrations and presentations, including a post-audio presentation documenting the behind-the-scenes audio work on HBO’s Emmy award winning series “The Pacific”, as well as a presentation on music creation, tracking and mixing that follows the creation of a song from laptop, to desktop, to studio using Avid solutions.

•         We’ll also provide a technology preview of Avid’s Artist Series MC Mix running on a Windows 7 system.

•        Featured speakers at our booth will include Grammy Award winning producer/musician Butch Vig (Nirvana, Garbage), recording engineer Billy Bush (Garbage), Sonic Magic Studios founder and post-mixer Jonathan Wales,  and Dave Hill, founder of Cranesong and co-developer of Avid’s HEAT. We’ll share more info about those appearances in a later post, as well as information about panel and workshop discussions featuring Avid’s own live-sound legends —Robert Scovill and Sheldon Radford.

There will be more going on at AES than our booth demos and presentations though—for a complete list of all the workshops, master classes, tutorials, paper presentations, and events going on at AES this year, check out their online calendar here.

And don’t forget to stay tuned for information about our Twitter contest. Win a Pro Tools recording solution simply by re-tweeting our show news. Really, does it get any easier than that?

Keep checking Buzz for news and updates about Avid's offerings at AES. Lots more to follow as we countdown the days till it all kicks off next week.
